Our Process

1 - CONSULTATION

Once you have scheduled a Consultation for your desired service and completed our online Client Design Questionnaire, we will meet you (at your project site, or virtually, depending on the selected service) to discuss the details of your design needs and determine how we can help bring your vision to life. After the consultation, we provide you with a Design Proposal that is best suited to your needs.

2 - DESIGN CONCEPT

We kick off the project by reviewing all floorplans, project photos, inspiration photos, budget considerations and Client Questionnaire details.  We start with a preliminary layout and design concept direction and collaborate with your architect and build team, as appropriate. We then begin exploring color palettes, furnishings, fixtures, finishes, etc. and move onto developing design boards. We are in regular communication throughout the process to ensure that we are all on the same page before we begin sourcing specific materials and products.

3 - PRESENTATION AND APPROVAL

Once a design concept is approved, we move onto the fine details. We will present you with our carefully curated selections and a space layout, as well as a detailed budget.  This could include fixtures, flooring, paint, furniture, lighting, window treatments, etc. and is a fun, collaborative process where you really start seeing your project take shape. Your feedback is paramount to ensure we get it just right! Once everything is approved, we move onto the final stage of the process.

4 - EXECUTION

How this last stage of the design process looks greatly depends on the Design Service you selected. We can either start purchasing, or providing you with a list of products and materials, to be ready to enter the construction phase, as agreed upon.

There are varying degrees of collaborating with construction teams and trades that we can assist with, as well as options for handling deliveries and installation.  Final stages can include having lights installed, art hung, beds made and accessories placed. But all in all, this is when it gets close to icing the champagne to WELCOME YOU into your new space!

Note: We are happy to collaborate with architects, builders and contractors/handymen of your choice. We can also provide a list of professionals we have worked with. All third parties are contracted directly by Clients.
